Driving an RV

For first-time campers, a recreational vehicle may be a better choice than a tent. Truck campers, trailers and fifth wheel trailers are considered RVs. These vehicles provide greater comfort than tents and may encourage family members to enjoy camping more.

RVs don’t navigate like the family van, so practicing in empty parking lots before taking the vehicle out on the highway – especially backing the vehicle up – is highly recommended. Pay close attention to the details given on parking and leveling requirements of some RVs.
