Keep An Eye on the Weather

Summer storms often develop suddenly. Staying a little too long on the lake, in the pool or on the golf course can have life-threatening results.  A summer thunderstorm may bring high winds, lightning, hail, flash floods, and tornadoes. If you are outside an area with a weather warning system, you should carry a battery-powered radio or a NOAA Weather Radio. Stay alert to building clouds and listen for weather alerts.

A Weather Watch means that severe weather is possible within the designated watch area. Stay alert for further information.

A Weather Warning means that severe weather has been reported or is imminent and you should take necessary precautions.
