I have EMSAcare. Why am I being billed?
Per your EMSAcare Membership Agreement, EMSA needs your insurance information so a claim can be submitted to your insurance carrier. Your EMSAcare membership will cover any out-of-pocket costs for emergency transports.

How do I get my insurance info to you?

You may email a copy of the front and back of your insurance card [email protected] with your EMSA Statement – be sure to include your EMSA run number.

Why did my insurance carrier deny EMSA’s claim related to a transport?

Review the Explanation of Benefits or Explanation of Payment you received from your insurance carrier. That document should spell out the reason(s) why the claim was denied. My bill was sent to collections. How do I resolve this?

Contact the collection agency at the telephone number listed on your statement. EMSA utilizes an outside entity to handle collections and they are best equipped to handle your questions
