CPR -- Where to Learn?

Each year, many lives are lost because people who may have been able to help are not trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR.

This lifesaving procedure is performed when someone has stopped breathing or their heartbeat has stopped, as in cases of electric shock, drowning, or heart attack.

EMSA has joined with other resources to establish Citizen CPR, a coalition of organizations supporting the learning of CPR by citizens. Click here to learn more about Citizen CPR and classes available. Citizen CPR provides some free, basic CPR instruction and custom classes, as well.

The American Heart Association, the American Red Cross and many hospitals also offer CPR, AED and first aid classes.
