Keeping the Holidays Safe

Throughout the year there are holidays, events, and causes for celebration that are accompanied by increased alcohol consumption. These are times when you should be particularly alert for impaired drivers:

March NCAA National Basketball Tournament, St. Patrick’s Day

April College Spring Breaks

May Proms & Graduation Parties, Cinco de Mayo (May 5), Memorial Day

June Proms and Graduation Parties, Weddings

July Independence Day (July 4th)

August World Cup Soccer

September College and Professional Football Games, Labor Day Weekend

October College and Professional Football Games, Halloween  November College and Professional Football Games, Thanksgiving  Weekend

December Holiday Season Parties, College Bowl Games, New Year’s Eve

Be a responsible host. Serve food and have non-alcoholic drinks available. Don't let your guests drive after drinking alcohol and never serve alcohol to someone under the age of 21.
